![]() There's like a, brighter mesh-ish feeling that encompasses the song's overhead. The way I tested to hear the difference is by setting the preamp to 0 (so that I can have an even ground to test), the audio sound cranked all the way up (so that I can spot even the slightest difference), and listened to Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen as my control subject.įlicking the On/Off button, I can definitely hear the difference especially at 1:55 (played through Spotify). That fixed my issue since for some reason Peace is modifying the sound from my "Line in at rear panel (Green)" from the Capture devices tab (which is where I plugged in my headphone), rather than the Philips Fidelio X2HR in the Playback devices tab. When you install the APO in the configuration, you can be safe by installing APO for all the Playback devices AND the Capture Devices. If you can't hear a difference, and I'm assuming it's not because of your hearing, then it's probably because you didn't install the APO for your output devices correctly. Hey OP, we have the same exact headphone and EQ settings! Not sure if I can still tell a huge difference between 5 vs 10 dB for the first column's gain(bass) Going to keep messing and try to figure it out.Įdit: Had to reinstall peace speakers config and select a different troubleshooting option to get this to work, now when I change presets I can tell a difference. Saw the on/Off button at the top right of peace, toggling this doesn't do anything? I'm using spotify desktop app.Would I need to open/close it to notice a difference or something? Haven't closed it yet.Īlso just closed peace completely to keep testing and I can tell 0 difference.I feel like it's not turned on maybe or something not sure haha. I feel like I might be missing something. Does that mean it's enabled that preset? Or is there another step to enable? I tried changing the gain value to 10 for the first one and I couldn't tell any difference. If I select a different pre-set in the bottom left of peace, as soon as I click it, it closes and re-opens. Just take in mind that you have to enable Peace startup if you want it to work all the time, also when you are switching to Peace GUI, use option To tray, don't close it or you'll have to launch it again. Do the same if you have EQ profile for speakers. ![]() Select desired headphone EQ profile & playback output device (Headphones, Realtek HD Audio in my case), click arrow to add the profile. Select option Activate at device selection, switch it on To apply automatic profile switching in Peace, go to PeaceGUI, click on this icon You enabled headphone to be different output device. Go to option Device advanced settings & enable option "Make front & rear output devices playback 2 different audio streams simultaneously." To do it, go to Control Panel, Hardware & Sound, Realtek HD Audio Manager. When i unplug headphones it reverts to Speakers EQ profile. Hey, you can set headphones to be separate device in Realtek sound options, that's what i did and I enabled an option in Peace to switch to oratory1990 EQ whenever headphone is plugged in.
